A strong quote brief can save days of back-and-forth. Before contacting a food copacker, organize the core product, packaging, volume and timing information.
Product information
Describe the product clearly: dry, liquid, viscous, frozen, particulate, fragile, oily, dusty or otherwise relevant to handling. Include target fill weight or volume.
Packaging information
Share the packaging format, dimensions, materials if known, closure features, artwork status and whether packaging is already purchased. If not, note that you need sourcing support.
Volume and SKU plan
Include both the total units and the quantity by SKU. If the project is expected to repeat monthly or quarterly, include that forecast too.
Timing
State the desired first production date and whether it is tied to a retail launch, promotion or inventory deadline. Unrealistic timelines are easier to identify early than after packaging is ordered.
Requirements and documentation
List relevant certification, labeling, traceability, storage or distribution requirements. If you are not sure what applies, say so rather than guessing.
Send the brief
COPACK Canada uses a structured quote request form that captures the core information for Vancouver and Toronto projects.
Next step
If you have a project ready to discuss, use the COPACK Canada quote form and send the product, package, volume and timing in one place.
